GridironHQ Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GridironHQ collects, why, and what happens to it. It applies to gridironhq.ai, app.gridironhq.ai, and email we send you. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed.

The short version

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, display name, and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider. If you sign in through a third party, we receive the profile information that provider shares with us.

League data you connect. When you connect a Sleeper league, we read the league's public data through Sleeper's API: settings, rosters, standings, matchups, transactions, draft results, and the usernames of league members. When you connect an ESPN league, you provide two session cookies from your ESPN account; we encrypt them at rest and use them only to read that league's data on your behalf. We do not read anything outside the leagues you connect.

Pick'Em and Treasury. If you run a Pick'Em pool, we collect the email addresses of the members you invite so they can join and receive results. If you use Treasury, we store the dues amounts and payment status you enter. Treasury never holds, moves, or collects money. It is a ledger you keep; payments happen between you and your league members outside GridironHQ.

ARGUS conversations. The messages you send to ARGUS and its replies are stored so your conversation is there when you come back. Trade offers you evaluate, and ARGUS's read on each, are stored the same way so a negotiation can be picked up where you left it. Only you can see your conversations and negotiations; the other managers in your league cannot.

Payment information. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and stores your payment method. We receive your subscription status, plan, and billing history, not your card details.

Usage information. Which features you use, when, and for which league, along with standard technical information such as browser type, device, IP address, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the service working and to understand which features matter.

Email. We send transactional email (receipts, connection expiry notices, weekly ARGUS summaries if you opt in). Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it.

How we use it

Who else sees it

We use service providers to run GridironHQ. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job, under contract:

We also read data from the fantasy platforms you connect (Sleeper, ESPN) and from public data sources (player values, ADP, projections, schedules). Those sources have their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We will disclose it if the law requires us to, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ourselves.

How long we keep it

Your choices

If you live in a place with specific privacy rights (for example, California, the European Union, or the United Kingdom), you have those rights, and the email address above is how to exercise them. We respond within the time the applicable law allows.

Security

Account credentials are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in readable form. Platform credentials such as ESPN session cookies are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Data moves between your browser and our servers over TLS. No system is perfectly secure, and if we learn of a breach that affects your information we will tell you.

Children

GridironHQ is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

When this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email you.
